About Us
Mission
The mission of Little Learners Lodge is to meet each child where they are and guide their learning and development through play-based, child-centered classrooms. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to spend their days, planting the seeds for developing a true love of learning.
Philosophy
Little Learners Lodge supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through various learning opportunities. Additionally, we strive to maintain a strong connection between home and school and uphold the values of kindness through community service projects.
Educators
- Alison Konicki - The owner and the director of Little Learners Lodge, has taught preschool and worked in various childcare settings for over 30 years. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education from Curry College. It has been her lifelong dream to open a preschool of her own. Early in Alison’s teaching career, she noticed how young children thrived in play-based environments and she knew she would one day open this type of school to enrich the lives of children and families. She is thrilled to realize her dream and welcome you and your child to Little Learners Lodge.

- Miss Chelsea - Chelsea Brockman has been in the childcare field for 12 years, with 4 of those years as an early childhood educator. She feels that working with children is her life’s purpose and has a personal passion for learning and being able to impart knowledge onto others, especially children.
The Lodge - Preschool Learning Environment
At Little Learners Lodge, you may be surprised that there are no days of the week or weather posted on our classroom walls as decor. In fact, we chose calming colors and thoughtful decor for our classrooms to demonstrate comfort, togetherness, and well-being for our students. We also commissioned an artist to design and create our very own whimsical woodland animals , which welcome our learners each day.
We also know outdoor play is important and have created an engaging outdoor space with a large playground, sandbox and room to run!
